Kate Moss carries the Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton Day Bag

I was surprised to see that Kate wasn’t carrying a bag from her collaboration with Longchamp when shopping in London yesterday but a bag from Sofia Coppola’s collaboration with Louis Vuitton. The suede day bag, as you might guess, was inspired by the iconic Louis Vuitton Speedy and Keepall and a personal favourite of Sofia’s.

It’s no wonder this bag is a favourite of other celebrities, particularly Kirsten Dunst with its great structure and no doubt, quality. However I think I prefer Kirsten’s leather version to the suede Kate is carrying.

The bag retails at a rather expensive £2,340 though given Vuitton’s great reputation and the gorgeous style of the bag it almost seems worth it! 🙂

Kate Moss with the Longchamp ‘Glastonbury’ at Glastonbury!

Kate Moss is starting to become very predictable in her festival attire – the standard denim worn jacket, shorts, tights, boots ensemble, and it’s no surprise as to where is bag is from.  The black messenger is part of her Rock’n Casual line from collaboration with Longchamp and appropriately named the ‘Glastonbury’ messenger.

The Glastonbury features an adjustable strap, a flat pocket on the suede and a zip pocket on the back, it almost seems like the bags most interesting feature is its zebra print lining! Although it may be very convenient and versatile I don’t think it’s the best bag of the collection – a bit boring even.

You can buy Kate’s bag from the Longchamp online store for €450 in both black and nude.

Celebrity Beach Bags

With summer looming I decided to compile a list of our favourite celebrities’ beach handbags but don’t expect plain canvas totes, these stars don’t care if they get a little sand on their designer choices with not one bag under $500.

First up is Kate Moss who chose the ‘Gloucester’  bag in cognac, from her collaboration with Longchamp. The top handle and classic style remind me a bit of the Louis Vuitton speedy bag so it doesn’t seem suprising that this particular bag was inspired by vintage trunks. Though with a number of compartments I can see how this would make an ideal travel bag.

The Gloucester retails at £590 and is available from the Longchamp website in a range of colours.

For a trip to Miami Beach Kim Kardashian used her loyal Givenchy Elschia Sac, a favourite of Kim’s as she’s been sporting the bag since last year. I’ve got to give her props as so many celebrities disregard their handbags once they’ve become last season. Although I love textured leather one of my favourite features about this bag is the side zips which make it expandable, no doubt it’s very versatile.

Unfortunately, despite its high price tag of $1,975 the bag is now sold out. 🙁

Cleobella is becoming an increasingly popular brand with celebrities and it’s no wonder with their gorgeous s/s collection consisting of boho chic styles.

Halle Berry chose the Kaya bucket as her beach bag of choice, which will be available later this month at ShopBop for $528.

Okay so Riri isn’t actually at the beach here, rather the pool at her hotel but I just wanted an excuse to post the stunning Saffiano Traforato satchel from Prada’s s/s collection. The bags perforated geometric motif certainly distinguish it from the majority and I do love the cute brass details.

It’s available in three colours on the Prada e-store for £970, though neither the black or tan match up to the white.
