Up first is Miu Miu fan Camilla Belle who carried the Napa Croquette Stage in white. I thought the bag was a beautiful addition to her neutral ensemble and a suitable choice for the event. Camilla’s Napa Croquette shoulder bag is available to purchase from Bergdorf Goodman for $1,150.
…and a prime example of what not to wear to the Cartier Polo Day.
Geri Halliwell took her large (must be MM), grey Vernis Alma in addition to a blue Herve Ledger dress and gold Louboutins. The handbag seems a bit too large and bulky for this type of event and as it’s a top handle I imagine it would end up getting in the way quite a bit. Geri even seems a bit unsettled having to set it down on the grass on the photo above.
You can purchase the Vernis Alma in most Louis Vuitton boutiques for £1,260, full specs on the website.
Cat Deeley also chose to take a top handle bag, her trusty Balenciaga City. The classic, tan handbag is a great addition to her vintage maxi dress but I still think one of the Balenciaga clutches or shoulder bags, such as the Hip, would have been a more appropriate choice.
Finally a clutch!
Katherine Jenkins chose a woven clutch bag from the Anya Hindmarch spring 2009 collection. I love the detail and works well in adding a bit of colour to her simple dress, a look which otherwise might have looked slightly dull.
Holly Valance also made an appearance, carrying a sequin Miu Miu satchel. I actually quite like the mixing of the print of the dress and the sequins but again, I’m not sure why she felt the need to take such a large handbag.
