Rachel McAdams carries Quilted Miu Miu Satchel

Rachel McAdams was spotted in NYC the other day with the fabulous new Miu Miu quilted front-lock satchel in a light blue shade. The satchel features a chevron-quilted leather with a woven top handle – an overall great texture. Although I’m not usually a fan of the belted flap styles, I think it contributes to the great structure. The use of silver hardware also helps avoid a more traditional look, differentiating it from the likes of the Alexa bag. Plus, it looks great with the off-white colour!

Though I wasn’t particularly partial to the Miu Miu fall accessories, I love this new satchel and I think it might even compare to the Vitello Lux – albeit a bit pricier!  It seems to be coming a celebrity favourite though, Cheryl Cole was spotted carrying the bag in Cannes earlier this year.

The quilted front-lock satchel isn’t available just yet but you can pre-order it on the Bergdorf Goodman online store for $1990

Burberry Fall 2010 Ad Campaign

Burberry recently released some pictures from its fall ad campaign and although it doesn’t quite match up to Vuitton, the collection definitely brought some very blog-worthy bags! Many, many photos behind the cut.

Victoria Beckham carries the Hermès Himalayan Birkin with a new ‘Do!

You probably will have already have seen countless photos of VB carrying the supposedly rare Himalayan Birkin – although her diamond studded version might be somewhat limited I’ve been told that most dedicated Hermès customers can easily get their hands on one of the standard Himalayan bags. However its high retail price (Victoria’s was rumored to cost around £80000) might be enough to put you off, which seems a bit extortionate when you can purchase the standard leather for a tenth of the price.

To be honest though I just wanted an excuse to post pics of Victoria’s gorgeous new hairdo, although I liked her previous style I think she looks great with these longer locks! What do you think of Victoria’s outfit and hair?

Kate Moss with the Longchamp ‘Glastonbury’ at Glastonbury!

Kate Moss is starting to become very predictable in her festival attire – the standard denim worn jacket, shorts, tights, boots ensemble, and it’s no surprise as to where is bag is from.  The black messenger is part of her Rock’n Casual line from collaboration with Longchamp and appropriately named the ‘Glastonbury’ messenger.

The Glastonbury features an adjustable strap, a flat pocket on the suede and a zip pocket on the back, it almost seems like the bags most interesting feature is its zebra print lining! Although it may be very convenient and versatile I don’t think it’s the best bag of the collection – a bit boring even.

You can buy Kate’s bag from the Longchamp online store for €450 in both black and nude.

Emma Watson carries Valentino at Glastonbury

I think even the wealthiest of celebs might have been a bit cautious of taking a handbag like Valentino to Glastonbury, no matter how ideal its size and style may be. Not Emma Watson though as she was spotted carrying a large messenger by the designer. The bag is coated in hanging studs which turned out to be a perfect match for her studded Louboutin wellies!

It does reminds me a bit of the latest season Marc Jacobs Nina/Imogen handbag with its metallic charms, as seen on Alessandra Ambrosio, no doubt it will be a little more expensive though.

Definitely not a fan of her Louis Vuitton basque though – what do you think of Emma’s Glastonbury look?

Jessica Hart carries Topshop Fringe Bag

After seeing some photos of swimsuit model, Jessica Hart out and about lately I’ve been captivated by her cute, fringe bag. I must admit I was surprised when seeing it was Topshop on her blog. I love it when celebrities choose high street brands! Unfortunately this particular bag is no longer available on the website but you can purchase the very similar Topshop studded fringe bag (pictured below) for only £32. It is in leather as opposed to Jessica’s suede bag but I think with its long strap and boho style it would work as a great festival bag.

Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 Ad Campaign

The ilvoelv blog has some pics from Louis Vuitton’s fall 2010 ad campaign. It features the stunning Christy Turlington, Karen Elson and Natalia Vodianova, and was shot by the acclaimed Vogue photographer, Steven Meisel. With the elegant collection of handbags that the fall collection brought it’s hard to find any faults with this campaign.

The pre-fall Aviator, as seen on Rachel Bilson.

The monogram print on this speedy is tdf.

Halle Berry with her Moni Moni Dolce Vita Bag

I love how Halle Berry’s handbag collection doesn’t just consist of ‘it’ bags from more popular designers like most celebrities. I have to thank her for introducing me to some great designers, recently Cinzia Moniaci and her brand, Moni Moni. The collection of italian leather handbags are all handmade and aim for a ‘understated vintage’ look. One of my favourite Moni Moni handbags is Halle Berry’s Dolce Vita top-handle from the fall ’09 collection. I love the zip details on the two front pockets and the texture of those handles.

Unfortunately the bag is no longer available online but you can purchase the Moni Moni bags from a number of stores, including Bluefly.

Sarah Michelle Gellar with the Balenciaga City Bag

Sarah Michelle Gellar was spotted carrying one of her favourite bbags yesterday after a trip to the salon. I love the City handbag she’s carrying in this photo, the classic aged hardware, the top handle and shoulder strap must make it one of the most versatille it bags around. At $1400 I’d say this is definitely an investment piece.

Among SMGs fabulous bbag collection is also the timeless Day shoulder bag, which she’s been spotted with countless times when out and about in LA.

You can buy both of these bags in a range of colours on the Balenciaga online store or at Barneys NY.

Though the bags rarely go on sale, UK fans if you’re patient you can buy these handbags and others from Balenciaga if at the Selfridges 20% off everything in November. In the past two years I’ve come so close to buying the Day bag, especially as last November I had the chance to purchase it for a reasonable £400. Maybe I’ll remember to save up this year!
