Pixie Lott with Dolce Gabbana ‘Soft Box Tote’ at House Festival

If there’s anyone who can pull off a cute gingham mini, white trainers, pink hair and a Dolce & Gabbana tote, it’s probably Pixie Lott. The 20-something songstress added a little 60s glamour to her festival look with the ‘soft box tote’, which currently retails for around £1,200-1,300. The cream version doesn’t seem to be available online at the moment but there are a number of similar padlock styles up for grabs…

Is this the only Louis Vuitton Alma that goes with short shorts?

Chloe Sevigny

Chloe Sevigny resurrected an old Cruise 2015  favourite last week – the Louis Vuitton Malletage Alma BB. One of the first collections of the Ghesquiere era, the Malletage was one of the collections more toned-down adaptations. It was available in a variety of colours and retailed for just under $4,000.

So, is this a Louis Vuitton Alma thats you can wear with ripped denim shorts? Yes, but only if you’re Chloe Sevigny level cool, otherwise, stick to the tailoring.

Jessica Chastain wears handbags at Cannes, remains flawless

Handbags Jessica Chastain

When is actress Jessica Chastain not the picture of elegance? And she maintained her strong style track record during the 2017 Cannes film festival this week, with two nude handbags I had to feature.

The first of which, pictured above, is the Alexander McQueen medium leather shoulder bag, which is currently available at Luisaviaroma for £1,590. It’s also available in black, which I know has been spotted on a few other Cannes attendees.

The second bag was a more functional daytime option in the form of the Longchamp Paris Premiere bag. This isn’t a style I’ve come across before but it’s got a great structure which suits her look perfectly. This one will set you back £1,277 on the Longchamp official website.

Why is Rihanna sporting old school Dior handbags?

Rihanna Dior handbags

Rihanna definitely doesn’t shy away when it comes to overstated monogram prints, patterns or bold block colours, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that she’s adopted these classic Dior handbags to her plentiful collection. The pattern made it’s return to the runway for F/W 2017, along with an abundance of oversized, utilitarian denim, which Riri is embracing on her recent candid shot.

I mean, theoretically it makes sense for the brand to revive it’s classic monogram during the height of logomania. I’m just having difficulty taking on a pattern which is so synonymously Paris Hilton ’00s. It’s going to take a few more Rihanna appearances and blogger features before I’m on board.

Sofia Richie works Ethan K handbag in Cannes

Sofia Richie x Ethan K

A handbag that’s both airport and amfar appropriate? Sofia Richie accepted the challenge, working the bright Ethan K Alla satchel throughout her trip to Cannes. Who’d have thought yellow croc would be so versatile?

The bag is currently available online at Saks Fifth Avenue for just over £7,800 – sell your car and make it yours.

Celebrity Handbags ft. Gucci, YSL and Bottega Veneta

Celebrity Handbags ft. Gucci, YSL and Bottega Veneta

With the arrival of fashion bloggers and Instagram influencers there seems to be a lot less focus on the stereotypical celebrities we once fawned over. That doesn’t make their style moments any less impressive though, and with mega-babes like Ashley James blurring the line between blogger and TV personality, who’s to say what’s the best source of bagspo?

Here’s my round-up of top celebrity handbag sightings this week:

Model Alessandra Ambrosio was topped off her casual ensemble with the not-so-casual Bottega Veneta ‘City Knot leather shoulder bag’, which retails for around £2,925.

Ashley Benson x YSL
Pretty Little Liars is one of my favourite guilty pleasures, so I was happy to see this shot of actress Ashley Benson sporting the Saint Laurent leather shoulder bag – my go-to day to night purse. You can find it for £1,090 online at Selfridges.

Ashley James x Aspinal of London
I love coming across captivating styles that I’m not familiar with and how cool does Ashley James look in the Aspinal of London Oxford Rucksack? Also – can we keep using the word rucksack? It’s reminds me of my primary school days.

Coach x Rodarte Designer Collaboration

COACH X RODARTE COLLECTION IRL

Keep an eye out for the #coachandrodarte on Instagram.

I was a bit suprised when Coach launched in Harvey Nichols stores across the UK back in 2014. I always associated the brand with outlet malls I used to visit in Orlando and that garish brown monogram. However, in the past few years they became recognised for more subdued structure styles and caught onto kitsch embellishment and add-ons to reclaiming their spot on the arms of influencers.

This year, they launched an unlikely collaboration with Californian luxury brand Rodarte and the result? Coach x Rodarte – 4 distinct styles, just as cool as they are opulent.

Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons ‘Masters’ collection

Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons ‘Masters’ collection

Behold bag fanatics, as what follows is everything you need to know about the Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons ‘Masters’ collection. From styles to availability to prices – I’ve wrapped everything up for your convenience.

The collection derives from Koon’s recent Gazing Ball show, which presented repainted versions of iconic artwork from Da Vinci, Rubens, Titian and Van Gogh. Highlighting five key pieces, the emblazoned “gazing ball” (a large, glass bauble) featured in the show translated into striking coloured handles and a subdued metallic monogram.

Must-Have Logomania Designer Handbags

Must-Have Logomania Designer Handbags

Do you remember the launch of the Anti-it bag movement in 2010, where high fashion was defined by clean cuts and quality fabrics alone? Well, obnoxious metal emblems and monogram prints are dominating the fashion week frows (and Instagram feeds) once again! Customers are embracing instantly recognisable symbols from designers such as Gucci, YSL, Louis Vuitton and Chanel.

And if you’re going to invest in any of these classic logomania styles, make sure it’s one of ones below…

Featured Collection: Gitta of Blondwalk

Just when I think I’ve obsessed over all of the seasonal Louis Vuitton styles, fashion blogger Gitta from Blondwalk always pops up on Instagram rocking a new bag. Where you find them, Gitta? How you co-ordinate them so well? Her previous experience in the fashion industry and modelling career accounts for that, as well as those killer poses.
